At first I just cluelessly figured it was an amusing but understandable accident. Without the minus sign the numbers were plausible, and I don’t live near D.C any more so I didn’t know the actual weather there. But then it dawned on me.
One of the best comments I have read in the past four years, in response to a Trump spokesman who was bitterly complaining about the historically unprecedented level of negative coverage of the President by the “Fake News Media,” was this: “If you want people to stop saying bad things about you, stop doing bad things.” And when you’re getting some of that negative coverage from the Weather Channel (I hope whoever did it didn’t get in trouble), well, I agree. We’re all glad it’s finally over.
