OK, folks, this is a public service announcement that has NOTHING to do with politics … but a lot to do with good governance.
The folks in Frankfort want you to go take an internet speed test on their site. Why? So they can map which parts of the state need better internet, and begin working on it.
AND, if you don’t have internet at all at your home, they’ve got you covered as well. You go to the site (using your phone, or a library computer, or someone else’s internet connection) and enter your home address as not having internet. Frankly, these are MORE important, because areas without internet will get first attention.
So, head on over to speedtest.ky.gov (do it now, while you’re reading this), scroll down to the speed test window, enter your address and your monthly internet payment, then begin the test. It should only take about 30 seconds. And, if you don’t have internet, just enter your address and click the “no internet” button. That’s it!
And by the way, share this with as many people as you can. We need thousands of people to take this, from all across the state, so the folks in Frankfort can spend OUR money wisely. Thanks!
