If you are worried about gerrymandering in Kentucky after the 2020 census, and you live near Jackson, then you need to attend this meeting.

Indivisible SE KY is hosting two speakers from the League of Women Voters this Saturday at noon at the Asian Buffet in Jackson. They will share about the League’s call for an independent commission to do the redistricting that is required after the census.

Cindy Heine and Susan Weston will explain what gerrymandering is, then hand out maps showing past gerrymandering. Finally, they will explain how a commission to redistrict will make our maps fairer, on both the national and state level.

The event is free and open to all the public: men, women, children, Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. If you need more information, contact Virginia Meagher at (606) 666-5552.
