Via press release from PPAIK

On January 5, 2021 Planned Parenthood Advocates of Indiana and Kentucky (PPAIK) and the American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky (ACLU-KY) will host a car rally at the Capitol, along with a 2021 legislative preview to raise awareness around legislation that will impact the reproductive health and essential care of Kentuckians across the commonwealth.

This year, despite the attacks already taking place to undermine our health and rights, the broad-based coalition is focused on progressive legislation that will take Kentuckians forward. You will see these organizations and reproductive health champions fight for Paid Parental Leave, 12 Months of Birth Control, Comprehensive Sex Education, Maternal Mortality, and Menstrual Products Tax Exemption.

The rally speakers will include:

  • Tamarra Wieder, Kentucky Political Director PPAIK
  • Jackie McGranahan, ACLU-KY Field Organizer for Reproductive Rights
  • Representative Attica Scott
  • Representative Josie Raymond

The rally will begin at 6 PM. For more information, see the listing on the Forward Kentucky calendar.
