In a year where KY Dems hoped to flip some GOP seats in the Kentucky House while holding most or all of their own seats, the opposite happened. Republicans flipped 13 seats from blue to red, while Dems flipped no seats from the Repubs.
Here are the seats the Republicans took tonight. A number of these were seats where the incumbent Democrat had retired; those are indicated in the list below.
Some of these were expected, while others are surprises. The other surprise is that none of the possible Dem flips happened.
All in all, a tough night for the blue team.
