In a video that has now gone viral, a Louisville police officer repeatedly punches protestor Dee Garrett in the face as Garrett is being arrested. According to the Courier-Journal, the new chief of LMPD, Erika Shields, said that the video “raises serious questions and is not consistent with LMPD training.” She has opened an internal investigation into the officer’s conduct as well as the on-scene supervisor.

At a service held at Gospel Mission Church on April 19th, a number of people spoke about the attack, including Garrett himself. Del Ramey was at the service and shared these photos with us.
