The U.S. Department of Justice and the organization Judicial Watch, both plaintiffs in the original consent decree regarding voter rolls, have filed motions to be added to the current lawsuit between the Kentucky Democratic Party and the state Board of Elections (SBOE).
The DOJ and Judicial Watch want to join on the side of the SBOE. The DOJ files an amicus brief, while Judicial Watch filed a motion asking for the original consent decree to be enforced.

The US Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, has filed an Emergency Motion to prevent the Kentucky Democratic Party from protecting state voters in state court. DOJ will appear at the hearing tomorrow to ask the Court to allow it to participate in the matter.
Come hear DOJ explain why it is “physically impossible” to comply with Kentucky’s voter protection laws Monday morning at 9 am in the Franklin Circuit Court motion hour ( or as soon thereafter as counsel may be heard.)
