McConnell Retirement Cmte Protest in Lexington
The Mitch McConnell Retirement Committee (MMRC) will hold a #MaskedAndMadAsHell! Rally outside Senator Mitch McConnell’s Lexington office on Monday, August 17 to demand that Senator McConnell do his job and take up legislation to support his constituency during the coronavirus crisis.
The U.S House of Representatives passed the HEROES Act almost three months ago but Senator McConnell didn’t feel the urgency to act on it. Then he abdicated his role as leader of the U.S. Senate in negotiations. Now the Senate has adjourned through Labor Day while Kentuckians are struggling. We demand that he do his job.
Bring your protest signs, masks and voices for shouting!
- 5:00-6:15pm – Roadside protest alongside Harrodsburg Road at Corporate Drive
- 6:15pm – March over to Mitch’s office and go live from the MMRC Facebook page. There will be opportunity for groups to speak.
