Monday and Tuesday were the last two days of this year’s General Assembly before the lawmakers take ten days off and Governor Beshear decides which bills to veto and which to sign. So, as you can imagine, bills and amendments and committee substitutes were flying back and forth between the two chambers. In fact, one reporter estimated that over 100 bills passed in just those two days.
Here are 18 of those bills that we are calling out as important for one reason or another. Some are good bills (in our opinion), some are bad bills (some are REALLY bad), and some are either a mix of good and bad or a “who knows?” situation.
