Together Frankfort is planning an online briefing with Secretary of State Michael Adams and Franklin County Clerk Jeff Hancock. The webinar will be this Thursday, June 11, at 6:30 PM Eastern.

The purpose of the briefing is to learn more about absentee voting and procedures for voting in person in the June 23 primary election. After the briefing by Adams and Hancock, there will be a time for Q and A.

This “Just Vote” event kicks off Together Frankfort’s “Get Out the Vote – Safely” campaign which includes:

  • Providing online and hard-copy materials about Franklin County’s voting process to interested citizens;
  • Hosting “Tailgate Voter Info” events at area businesses; and
  • Posting online and providing news media with articles on the benefits, as well as the challenges, of absentee voting, also called “vote by mail” systems.

The event is co-sponsored by Focus on Race Relations and the Frankfort/Franklin County NAACP. Pre-registration is required: go to http://www.togetherfrankfort.org/register-for-june-11-zoom-meeting.html to sign up.
