Protest art in Jefferson Square in Louisville
Louisville’s Showing Up for Racial Justice sponsored an Art-in-the-Square event on Wednesday, June 3. Del Ramey was there and took these photos.
Lining Bardstown Road
That same day (Wednesday, June 3) there was a demonstration along Bardstown Road in Louisville. Del was at that event as well (whew!) and got these pix to share.
Danville hits the streets again
Danville had a demonstration Friday a week ago, with about 70 people there. There was a second rally on Saturday, June 6, with about 400 people there. They marched through downtown, then listened to a number of speakers. At the end, they were silent for 8 minutes, 46 seconds – the time it took for George Floyd to die.

Rev. Jesse Jackson speaks in Louisville
Also on Saturday, June 6, Rev. Jesse Jackson spoke to a group of faith leaders in a gathering at the University of Louisville. He was joined by various elected leaders and others. Del Ramey was there and shares these photos.
