In a press release, the Ditch Mitch Fund announced that they have placed a multi-million ad buy for the summer, with the first ad highlighting McConnell’s continual votes against health insurance protections.

From the release, Ryan Aquilina, the founder of the Ditch Mitch Fund, had this to say:

“Mitch McConnell has been voting to take away health care and protections for Kentuckians with pre-existing conditions for almost a decade. If McConnell had gotten his way, the almost 900,000 Kentuckians most at risk for the coronavirus, those with conditions like diabetes, asthma, and high blood pressure, wouldn’t even have health care right now. And he refuses to work to make prescription drugs affordable, which is especially critical during this pandemic.”

The Fund, started by Aquilina in October 2018, is a regular PAC that has promised to lend its support to whomever wins the Democratic primary on June 23. It has already reserved another $1 million of ad time for the fall, in addition to this summer buy.
