I came across this while scanning Twitter, and contacted the artist about sharing it with our readers.
The artist is Terrance Osborne of New Orleans, whose style is strong and definitely redolent of The Big Easy. He has won numerous awards, and was named one of “Fifty People to Watch” by New Orleans Magazine.
His print The Front Line is drawn from the “Rosie the Riveter” poster of World War II, and just captures so much in one painting: the strength, the determination, and the heroism of our front-line health care workers. As he says in his description of the work, “The heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic are the people in the health and service industry who risk their lives to keep us well. This is for the front-liners.”
