As the saying goes, “I am not a doctor, but I …” [choose one]
- Play one on TV.
- Slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
- Know what my grandmother did to treat a cold.
I can’t say any of those, so all I am left with right now is a simple question:
Should we be taking bigger actions in regard to the coronavirus?
It seems that the answer for many is still “No.”
- I read where the high school Sweet 16 tournaments are going to go on with regular crowds; no plan to play the games in empty gyms.
- Same for college games – big games, big crowds.
- Meetings, conferences, trips – most are going forward, and new ones being planned.
Are the people in charge of these things being foolhardy? I don’t know. But I wonder.
What I DO know is that it’s time — past time, actually — to start asking these questions.
And if the leaders of organizations you belong to aren’t thinking about these things, then YOU need to ask the questions.
