Multiple elected officials and activist groups are holding a rally on Monday, January 6, to demand that Senator Mitch McConnell hold a fair trial in the Senate in the Trump impeachment.
Congressman John Yarmuth, minority leader Rep. Joni Jenkins, and state Representative Reginald Meeks will be joined by MoveOn members, Kentucky Now members, and other Impeach.org organizations in the Rotunda at the state capitol in Frankfort at 1:00 pm.
They will call on McConnell to “uphold his oath to the Constitution, and deliver a fair trial in the impeachment proceedings of Donald J. Trump.”
Coalition partners for the rally include: ACLU of Kentucky, Indivisible Kentucky, Indivisible NKY 4, Kentucky Now, Bluegrass Activist Alliance, Together Frankfort, Louisville Young Democrats, University of Louisville Young Democrats, March on Ft. Thomas, MoveOn, and impeachnow.org.
