In a letter sent to both the State Board of Elections and their legal counsel, the lawyer representing the KY Democratic Party has accused the board of ignoring the judge’s ruling handed down on Monday.

In a press release, Anna Whites shared the letter she sent, which is included below. It notes that she has not received a copy of the board’s proposed compliance plan, nor a copy of the minutes of the board meeting on Tuesday, even though she had requested both. However, a third party provided her with a copy of the plan, which is the basis for her letter.

According to Ms. Whites, the SBE is still requiring affected voters to fill out Oath of Voter forms, a step which was specifically ruled out by the judge’s injunction.

In her press release, she states “This is a slap in the Court’s face. I am giving SBE one day to comply, and then we seek sanctions for willful disobedience to the Court’s Order. Kentucky voters deserve better than this.”

A copy of the letter was sent to Judge Thomas Wingate, who issued the temporary injunction on Monday.
