Paducah hosted the 72nd annual Kentucky State NAACP convention this weekend. A Saturday afternoon candidate forum drew Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andy Beshear and both candidates for attorney general, Republican Daniel Cameron and Democrat Greg Stumbo. NAACP President Raoul Cunningham was moderator. He and Raymond Burse, former president of Kentucky State University, asked questions of each candidate after he spoke.
Robert Haley Conway, the Democrat who is challenging Republican Commissioner of Agriculture Ryan Quarles, and James Rhodes, a Democrat who wants to take on GOP Congressman James Comer, also spoke briefly.
