President Trump is defunding over $3 billion worth of Defense Department projects to move the money to building his “wall” on the southern border, and among the projects defunded is a new middle school for Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.
On Tuesday, the Department of Defense released a list of projects that will be defunded. Here is that list: MilitaryProjectDeferrals
When the Courier-Journal first reported the possibility that Trump’s declaration of a national emergency could affect the new school, they included a quote from Lindsay Graham:
Trump's emergency declaration for border wall funds could cut money for projects like a Kentucky middle school.
Graham: "It's better for the middle school kids in Kentucky to have a secure border. We'll get them the school they need, but right now we've got a national emergency" pic.twitter.com/Vty1rbx979

The ACLU has announced that they will seek a court order blocking the use of the funds, “as part of its lawsuit challenging the president’s abuse of emergency powers to secure funds for a wall Congress denied.”
